Stanford "Randy" Tack was elected mayor of Lake Forest in the April 4 election.

According to the official results, Tack received 58.26% of the vote. Prue Beidler came in second with 39.65% of the vote, followed by Paul Hamann with 2.09%.

According to the Lake County Gazette, Tack previously served as 3rd Ward alderman from 2012-2018 and is currently chair of the Central Business District Planning Committee. He is the co-founder and managing partner of the Bone and Joint Institute and vice president of the Midwest Orthopedic Network.

Outgoing Mayor George Pandaleon endorsed Tack. “I never asked to be, nor promoted myself, to be your mayor," Pandaleon said in a press release. "Neither did Randy Tack. Like me, Randy was asked if he would like to be considered by the Caucus Committee to become their mayoral candidate. Like me, he had to think about it for a while, but decided he could do the job if selected, and was willing to make the necessary sacrifices in service to his beloved community.”

Tack's campaign page states that as an alderman, he served as chairman of the Public Works Committee and Fire Vision 2020 Committee. His accomplishments include the relinquishment of a Special Service Area tax on certain residents of Ward 3, which saved residents almost $800,000, the renovation and upgrade of Lake Forest’s water plant, and the reworking of the Fire and Public Safety Pension Plan for the city of Lake Forest to stabilize expenditures over time.
