Lincolnshire Architectural Review Board discusses updating design guidelines

Villageoflincolnshire

The regular Architectural Review Board Meeting in the Village of Lincolnshire in Illinois focused on the concepts and objectives for the update to the Lincolnshire Design Guidelines on Tuesday.

The board is charged with promoting and maintaining a high quality of development in the village. It reviews all proposed commercial, business, industrial, multiple-family dwelling buildings, planned unit developments, and uses of open space and public lands.

Chaired by Wes Grover, the board meets at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall.

The board makes recommendations based on the Lincolnshire Design Guidelines, which are then forwarded to the village's board of trustees.

In addition to the chairman, the board includes five members and one alternate, all residents of the village and appointed by the mayor with the approval of the village's board of trustees. Review board members all are trained in art, architecture, community planning, land development, landscape architecture or other relevant professions.
