The Village of Deerfield's Appearance Review Commission (ARC) met on Monday.
The commission was set to discuss revisions to the current appearance code regarding building design, lighting, site design and the relationship of buildings to their sites and adjacent areas.
The commission is in charge of the aesthetic preservation of downtown Deerfield. Any exterior changes requiring a building permit must be approved by the ARC, as are any plans for landscaping, signs, overall site development and other private development decisions with a public impact.
