The Highwood Firefighters' Pension Fund will meet 8:30 a.m. Thursday at City Hall, 17 Highwood Ave., for financial updates and training issues.
Following roll call, public comment and approval of minutes, an application from Scott Olsen will be discussed.
Investment and Treasurer’s reports will cover accountant statements, tax levy receipts and overpayments, warrant approval, IRS form status, the actuary timeline for 2016, a GASB statement implementation, asset management and quarterly investment performance reports and an investment policy and asset allocation, with possible adjustments.
Old business concerns the status of the Pieri matter and review of the city’s tax levy ordinance along with confirmation of a tax levy for the Pension Fund.
New business will focus on review of a vendor retainer and annual timeline for 2016; state service certifications; and filing requirements for economic statements, including list preparation.
Additionally, the IPPFA Conference, preparation for the annual spring elections and reappointments and DOI advisory information for the interim chief will be discussed.
Training issues will include status and legal updates, followed by adjournment. The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 14.
