Following a double call to order for both the public and the board, the village of Wadsworth Board of Trustees addressed matters Dec. 15, 2015, at Village Hall, 14155 Wadsworth Road.
President Glenn Ryback’s introduction of a proposed tax levy ordinance produced no public comment, so he closed the public session and called the board meeting to order at 6:03 p.m., followed by the pledge and roll call.
In addition to President Ryback, in attendance were Trustees Tyler Crittenden, Ben Dolan, Geralyn Hansen, Ken Harvey, Robert Hayden and James Zegar as well as Village Clerk Evelyn Hoselton, Village Administrator Moses Amidei and Village Attorney KeriLyn Krafthefer.
The board unanimously approved four consent agenda items, including minutes from Dec. 1, a treasurer’s report, checks and bills, plus one ordinance regarding tax levies for FY 2015/2016.
With no removed topics or old or new business, reports were presented. President Ryback expressed gratitude to all village trustees, staff and advisers; Village Attorney Krafthefer mentioned possible funding from a fuel tax and gaming sources, per Gov. Bruce Rauner’s authorization.
Administrator Amidei reported on unsatisfactory performance from an engineering vendor with plans to find a new contractor for implementing a railroad quiet zone. Additionally, Amidei informed the board of the need for Village Hall waterproofing repairs, and a motion was quickly approved to solicit sealing and mold remediation proposals.
The board went on to approve slight fee increases for engineers. Committee reports included finance; public service; and planning, zoning and plats. Specifically, catering plans for the Saturday winter event were discussed, and residents will be reminded to recycle Christmas trees for the winter event bonfire.
With no Ordinance, Road and Bridge, or Parks and Village Hall committee reports, the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
