Terrorism insurance, tax levies and oversized recreational vehicles spurred debate at the village of Antioch Board of Trustees meeting 7:00 p.m. Dec. 16, 2015, at the Municipal Building.
Mayor Lawrence Hanson called the meeting to order, leading the Pledge along with the board of trustees. Roll call revealed those present included Trustees Ed Macek, Jay Jozwiak, Mary Dominiak, Scott Pierce and Jerry Johnson along with Mayor Hanson, Attorney Robert Long, Administrator James Keim and Clerk Lori Folbrick. Trustee Ted Poulos was absent.
Five topics of regular business on the agenda were discussed, including proposed Environmental Commission amendments, property tax levies and abatements, personnel records policy making, insurance coverage for acts of terrorism and parking codes for the village.
Thorough discussion devoted to terrorism insurance yielded no permanent decisions. Regarding parking, compliance for RVs is of issue as Antioch is a recreational area and boating community; discussion revealed that the large vehicles impact downtown traffic, deliveries and parking lots.
With no other business or Executive Session, the meeting was adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
