Stop signs, sidewalk snow and subdivisions occupied the village of Deerfield board of trustees as it reviewed reports and recommendations at its 7:30 p.m. Monday meeting at Deerfield Village Hall.
Call to order, roll call and the Pledge were followed by a review of the previous meeting’s minutes, Treasurer’s Report, bills and payroll business and a public comment session.
Reports and recommendations revolved around land use, traffic and infrastructure, with requests for an amendment to a previously approved paddle tennis facility at Briarwood Country Club, approval of a final subdivision plat on Wilmot Road, a proposal for a stop sign removal and a review of traffic study results from the Safety Council.
Additionally, staff reports and/or recommendations were offered regarding a sidewalk snow clearing program and backflow prevention.
Following the consent agenda and old business, new business concerned the approval of a traffic signal upgrade project and associated bidding along with a joint purchasing requisition for bulk rock salt.
