From the rooftop down to the turf, the Round Lake Board of Trustees addressed various vendor maintenance contracts during its meeting on Feb. 1.
Inspection and landscaping matters were addressed first, with contracts going to Corrpro Companies and Brickman Group Ltd. for preventative care. Additionally, the trustees authorized a rooftop heating unit purchase from TopTec.
In public works, waterworks equipment and supplies were approved in an amount up to $85,250; and in building and zoning, the board passed two motions: adding a special-use category to zoning for general vehicle parking and storage, and employing a special-use permit for outdoor parking and storage at 0 Valentin Drive.
In the first zoning classification matter for general vehicle parking, Village Attorney Luke Glison stipulated that the planning and zoning board would impose four distinct limitations: no vehicle that is taller than the fence line or greater than 10 feet should be visible from the street; no maintenance is to be performed on any vehicle in that area; any vehicle leaking fluids needs to be removed; and all vehicles must be moveable and in operating condition.
The board also approved a general consent agenda including several routine budget items, such as payroll, accounts payable and fiscal year 2015 audit results.
