Gender-inclusive restrooms, yard accessories and local business incentives topped the agenda for Highland Park’s Committee of the Whole meeting 4:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
Following the approval of minutes from the Committee of the Whole’s previous meeting March 7, the committee was scheduled to go into a closed session before handling scheduled commerce and civic matters.
A sales tax incentive program pertaining to Lexus of Highland Park was to be considered at 6 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., committee personnel planned to review a recommendation by the Plan and Design Commission to amend city code in order to create additional guidelines and modify existing regulations concerning the use of accessories and accessory structures in required yards.
Finally, at 6:55 p.m. members were to discuss the topic of gender-inclusive restrooms and how incorporating them would impact the city of Highland Park.
The meeting took place at 1707 St. Johns Ave. in Highland Park.
