The Highwood Appearance Review Committee was expected to consider several variance requests at its meeting this week.
The Silk Thumb, 6 Walker Ave., was granted a variance to allow the listing of goods and services on its outside wall signs.
Brian Lock State Farm, 105 Washington Ave., was granted permission to remove a rear garage door and replace it with glass blocks and wood siding.
Classic Tile, 790 and 794 Sheridan Road, was granted a variance to allow the listing of goods and services on its outside wall signs.
200 GBR LLC, 200 Green Bay Road, was granted permission to build a four-season east lounge building addition.
The committee also briefly discussed the St. James school sign and the signage on the planned Music Hall.
