Lake Forest Preservation Commission to recognize award-winning projects

Chairs

The Historic Preservation Commission will recognize recent award-winning projects at its next meeting 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in City Hall Council Chambers, 220 E. Deerpath.

Made up of seven Lake Forest residents, the commission is responsible for preserving historic buildings, gardens and streetscapes, as well as the overall historic character of the community.

Below is the agenda for this meeting, as provided by the commission.

The Historic Preservation Commission meetings are broadcast live on Cable TV

1. Introduction of Commissioners and staff, overview of meeting procedures – Chairman

Grieve.

2. Consideration of the minutes from the June 29, 2016 meeting.

3. Lake Forest Preservation Foundation – Recognition of recent award winning projects

and the property owners and architects responsible for the projects.

4. Discussion and Recommendation: Consideration of a request to modify the plaque

identifying the statue on the fountain in Market Square.

5. Continued consideration of a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a sign for

the Lake Forest Book Store at 662 N. Western Avenue.
