Three exercise classes in the Gurnee Park District will start later this month, according to the district's website.
Total-body athletic conditioning, which starts Aug. 21, features high-intensity interval training. Classes are at 10 a.m. Sundays at the Hunt Club Park Community Center. The class, which runs until Oct. 16, is designed for people ages 16 and older, or 12-15 years old if accompanied by a parent. Costs for members are $71 for residents and $89 for non-residents, while non-member fees are $89 and $111, respectively.
Practical-living yoga starts Aug. 23 and will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesdays until Oct. 18 at the Viking Park Community Center. Costs are $90 for residents and $113 for nonresidents. The class is for people ages 14 and older. Participants need to bring their own mats and straps.
Beginner yoga will take place at 7:15 p.m. each Wednesday from Aug. 24 through Oct. 10. at the Hunt Club Park Community Center. Classes are for ages 16 and older, or 12-15 if accompanied by a parent. Costs for members are $74 for residents and $93 for nonresidents; nonmember costs are $93 and $116. Attendees should bring their own mats.
