Baseball serie 1 1555536 640x425

The College of Lake County (CLC) is counting on 13 being a lucky number for its baseball program.

The Lancers recently announced the signings of first baseman Ricky Allen of Grant Community High School, third baseman/outfielder Thomas Boeh of Antioch High School, right-handed pitcher Teddy Boyda of Margaret Prusak Homeschool Academy, center fielder Jim Callahan of Ashwaubenon High School, middle infielder Collin Drake of Dunlap High School, catcher Aiden Miller of Hawthorn Woods, catcher/third baseman Cal Poremba of Warren Township High School, right-handed pitcher/infielder Brennan Unruh of Rogers (Minnesota) High School, left-handed pitcher/first baseman Kyle Waller of Oshkosh North High School and right-handed pitcher/third baseman Danny Yates of Grayslake North High School.

The 13 players are expected to help the Lancers improve on their 19-22 record last season, including an 8-13 mark in the Illinois Skyway Conference. CLC tied for sixth place in the conference with Moraine.
