Village of Grayslake Board of Trustees met July 6.

The regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Grayslake was called to order at
7:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Grayslake Village Hall, Mayor Rhett Taylor presiding.
Roll Call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores, Nicodemus - present. Village Clerk Lee – present.
Also present were various Village staff members.
Public Comment – Agenda Items: None.
1. Approval: Minutes of The Regular Meeting of May 16, 2017
Trustee Jarvis made a motion, seconded by Trustee Shores, to approve the Minutes of the
Regular Board Meeting of May 16, 2017. On voice vote – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
2. Approval: Treasurer’s Reports/Payment Of Bills: June 6, 2017
Trustee Vogel made a motion, seconded by Trustee Waldenstrom, to approve the Treasurer’s
Report for June 6, 2017, and authorize payment of the bills as listed in the report. Roll call:
Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores, Nicodemus – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
3. Approval: Pipeline Easement Agreement
Trustee Davies made a motion, seconded by Trustee Vogel, to authorize the execution of an agreement with Metra for a watermain easement under the railroad tracks on Alleghany Road. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores, Nicodemus – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
4. Ordinance 2017-0-20: Disposal Of Surplus Property
Trustee Shores made a motion, seconded by Trustee Jarvis, to approve Ordinance 2017-0-20, authorizing the disposal of surplus property owned by the Village of Grayslake. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores, Nicodemus – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
5. Ordinance 2017-0-21: Alter Cornerstone Planned Unit Development On the recommendation of the Committee of the Whole, Trustee Waldenstrom made a motion, seconded by Trustee Davies, to approve Ordinance No. 2017-0-21, granting Phase 1A final approval for the Alter Cornerstone Planned Unit Development. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores, Nicodemus – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
6. Approval: Change Order – Downtown Streetscape Project 2017
Trustee Vogel made a motion, seconded by Trustee Nicodemus, to approve a change order with Copenhaver Construction in an amount not to exceed $27,400 for the downtown streetscape improvement project. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores, Nicodemus – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
Public Comment: A resident spoke regarding her inoperable b-box.
Trustee Reports: The Trustees noted festival season has begun with well attended events including the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony and Craft Beer Festival. The Trustees invited all to attend Wednesday Farmer’s Markets, the Chamber golf outing on June 14 and the Arts Festival on June 24. The Trustees noted tickets are still available for the Grayslake Heritage Center Foundation USO Style fundraiser on Friday, June 9.
Mayor's Report: Mayor Taylor thanked Village staff for their work at the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony and at the Craft Beer Festival.
