Nature of Appeal: The petitioner and property owner, Teton Tack and Feed LLC of 3730 N Lake Shore Drive, Chicago IL 60613 requests by authority of Sections 150.1204(A)(1) of the Highland Park Zoning Code, a variation of provisions of Section 150.703 and Section 150.707(D)(1), as required under the R5 zoning district, to (I) encroach 22 feet into the required front yard of 40 feet on the west side of the property, (ii) encroach 22 feet within the required 30 feet rear yard on the east side of the property, and (iii) to build an accessory structure within the required front yard, in order to construct an attached garage on a property with an existing single family residence and install a new AC unit.
Please note the applicant has revised plans for a pending variation request. The previous notice was for a detached garage, and the applicant is now requesting an attached garage and installation of a new AC unit.
Note: The Zoning Board approved this application at their August 3 meeting and will review an amended Order of Approval with two conditions.
