GOP looks to give candidates a lift in Lake County townships

The Republican organizations of several Lake County townships want to get some wind beneath the wings of GOP candidates in upcoming elections via an aviation-themed fundraiser on Sept. 14, according to a press release.

The event, “Taking off for victory in 2018,” is sponsored by the Vernon, Moraine, West Deerfield, Shields and Cuba township Republicans. It will be held at the Hawthorne Global Aviation Services Executive Jet Hanger at Chicago Executive Airport from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Those wishing to attend should RSVP with the Vernon organization by Sept. 7. Admission is $75 per person, $125 per couple, and $50 for committeemen; $250-$1,000 sponsorships are also available.

Illinois Policy Institute CEO John Tillman

The event will feature keynote remarks from Illinois Policy Institute CEO John Tillman. Attendees will also enjoy complimentary beverages and appetizers and music from the Half Day Road Band, as well as the opportunity to bid on items in silent and live auctions.
