Ret. Col. Craig Wilcox says he knows all about the work required as a leader of people.
“For 24 years I made tough decisions while serving our nation and will bring that commitment to our state capital," Wilcox said in a recent press release. "The Air Force taught me to live by core values: integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. Values I intend to take to Springfield."
A McHenry County Board member, Wilcox has decided to seek the District 32 Senate seat currently held by Pam Althoff (R-McHenry). Wilcox said state government has not reflected the values of district residents and has instead "overspent and under delivered."

Wilcox pointed to the record-setting 32 percent income tax increase enacted this summer, which will hike bills for every family in McHenry County -- increases of $486 to $912 in various communities.
“Families are fleeing Illinois because those in charge have failed to pass policies that reflect our values," Wilxoc said in the release. "I vow to bring bold solutions, strong ethics and a unifying presence to Springfield. Illinois needs lower taxes, less regulation, and leaders committed to passing desperately needed reforms."
