Pet owners in Lake County have two more low-cost opportunities this year to get their furry friends vaccinated, according to a recent post on Rep. Sheri Jesiel's (R-Winthrop Harbor) website.
The first clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 9 at the Grayslake Police Department, 10 S. Seymour in Grayslake, and the second clinic is set for 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 7 at Beach Park Public Works, 40185 Glendale in Beach Park.
Vaccinations for spayed or neutered pets are $10 for distemper complex, $20 for a one-year rabies vaccination with county tag, and $25 for rabies and distemper treatments with a county tag. For unaltered pets, the vaccination costs are $10, $60 and $65, respectively.

The first-come, first-served clinics are cash-only and for pets 4 months of age or older. Participants also should bring proof of their pets' altering.
At the Sept. 9 clinic, K9 Krew, a 4-H dog spin club, will offer pet nail trimming for a $5 donation.
Last year, the county held nine low-cost clinics and served 2,585 animals. Call Animal Care and Control at 847-377-4700 or go towww.lakecountyil.gov/152/Animal-Care-Control for more information.
