The calls in Beach Park included 39 fires - 18 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 19 other fires.
In all, the department saw $19,512 in fire loss - or about $500 per fire.
The department also received 67 false calls, including one malicious call and 66 other false calls.
The Beach Park FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has seven active employees and five retired or inactive employees, was $2,475 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $63 for every fire in 2016.
