The calls in Deerfield-Bannockburn included 61 fires - 32 structure fires, 14 vehicle fires and 11 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $247,266 in fire loss - or about $4,054 per fire.
The department also received 646 false calls, including three malicious calls and 643 other false calls.
Eight fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Deerfield-Bannockburn FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 45 active employees and 28 retired or inactive employees, was $1,729,449 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $28,352 for every fire in 2016.
