The calls in Lake Forest included 50 fires - 27 structure fires, 10 vehicle fires and 12 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $390,520 in fire loss - or about $7,810 per fire.
The department also received 668 false calls, including one malicious call and 667 other false calls.
12 fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Lake Forest Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 32 active employees and 37 retired or inactive employees, was $1,786,779 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $35,736 for every fire in 2016.
