The calls in Greater Round Lake included 143 fires - 95 structure fires, eight vehicle fires and 36 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $1,822,124 in fire loss - or about $12,742 per fire.
The department also received 339 false calls, including 10 malicious calls and 329 other false calls.
The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents and one was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Greater Round Lake FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 36 active employees and 10 retired or inactive employees, was $706,116 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $4,938 for every fire in 2016.
