Analysis: Deerfield pays $2.19 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Deerfield Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.7 percent of the $1,360,709 the Deerfield Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.19 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Deerfield contributed $934,918 to the fund, which saw a $28,162 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $425,791, or 31.3 percent, in 2016.
