Analysis: Lake Zurich pays $2.62 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hawthorn Woods Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.4 percent of the $392,727 the Hawthorn Woods Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.62 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Zurich contributed $280,223 to the fund, which saw a $6,040 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $106,897, or 27.2 percent, in 2016. Another $5,607 came from other unspecified sources.
