Analysis: Lake Bluff pays $4.99 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lake Bluff Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.3 percent of the $774,586 the Lake Bluff Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.99 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Bluff contributed $645,381 to the fund, which saw a $38,144 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $129,205, or 16.7 percent, in 2016.
