The Illinois Auditor General has released a report on the Illinois Student Assistance Commission’s prepaid tuition program for the fiscal year ending June 30. The report was released March 1.
Although the College Illinois program has a $286.4 million deficit, the auditors said "the financial statements of the program as of and for the year ended June 30, 2017 are fairly stated in all material respects," according to the full report's summary published on the auditor general's website.
Crowe Horwath LLP conducted the audit.
