Graduates earn 3,021 degrees, certificates from College of Lake County

About 28.1 percent of the 3,021 degrees and certificates handed out by the College of Lake County in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Grayslake conferred 848 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 836 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 389 certificates in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide and 232 associate's degrees in Biological and Physical Sciences.

The college enrolled 14,768 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
