Park District of Highland Park recently issued the following announcement.
Park District of Highland Park 10U Giants baseball team finished first at the Kenilworth Winnetka Baseball Association (KWBA) Bulldog Classic Tournament. The tournament was held in Winnetka/Northfield on May 24 through Sunday, May 27.
The 10U Giants played against the Deerfield Warriors in the KWBA Bulldog Classic Championship game and won the game 6-3. Ten teams participated in this tournament. The 10U Giants are coached by Kevin Fishbain and Chad Kasdin.
“I am thoroughly impressed with the work ethic of the players and coaches from the Giants,” said Chris Maliszewski, Recreation Manager for the Park District of Highland Park. “They have been making excellent strides this season and a victory like this totally capitalizes on that.”
The Park District of Highland Park 9U – 14U travel baseball season runs from April-July with practices beginning in January. Tryouts for the 2019 Feeder/Travel Baseball season will be held on August 25. For more information contact Chris Maliszewski at 847-579-4102.
