Deerfield Park District issued the following announcement on Oct. 3.
We have new student artwork on display at Jewett Park Community Center from Deerfield High School student, Alex Chen.
Alex says, “Fine art has been a relatively recent addition to my life. I only started with computer graphics this school year. For this piece, I wanted to create a work with emphasis on movement and color. I decided that the fluid action and power of volleyball would make a striking visual. Thus, I took pictures of a family member performing the spike and rotoscoped them while arranging them in composition. Finally, I chose a few colors to make the image as vibrant as possible.”
