Gurnee Park District issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.
We provide a non-scary experience for the littlest trick-or-treater. Mark your calendar TODAY for Saturday, October 13th! Don't Miss Out!
Special Events Manager, Beckie Korzyniewski, CPRP shares how to join in the fun and a few pointers for the day of!
1)Plan your day:
- Park – please follow parking signs when you arrive. GPD staff will assist you, but know you may have to walk from the soccer fields or back lots
- Line up – Line tends to start between 12:15-12:30p. Guests will be sent on the path starting at 1 pm with the last groups being sent at 3 pm
- Enjoy Trick or Treat Path – meet your favorite characters, take photos and enjoy a few treats along the way
- Wear your Halloween costume
- Cash and ID (Event is CASH ONLY $5 R/$10 NR)
- Camera or Phone
- Treat bag or bucket
- Superheroes – Bat-Signal will be ready and calling on all of our favorites, not just Batman! Meet the Incredibles, Ninja Turtles and more
- Princesses – Dressed for the ball, our royalty, including Belle and Cinderella are ready to greet guests
- Villains – They're here to have some fun too, but the Evil Queen, Maleficent and a few Star Wars characters may startle some visitors along the way
- Weather – dress appropriately to be outdoors. Should there be threat of rain, please check the rainout line for updates.
- Food allergies - We make a concerted effort to purchase only candy that does not contain peanuts or peanut extract; however we cannot guarantee processing or packaging procedures
- Age - Our event is catered to ages 2-6 years; however children over 6 years are always welcome
- Volunteers are the best - Characters and helpers are volunteers. They give their time to meet and greet our Trick or Treaters along the way. We are truly privileged to have a wonderfully diverse and amazing group! Click if you would like to volunteer!
