Village of Mundelein issued the following announcement on March 1.
Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Peter Patterson Glassworks in Mundelein is pleased to announce its Annual Make Your Own Shamrocks and Flowers glassblowing event. The public is invited to visit the studio and create their custom glass shamrock or flower. The cost for either item is $35.
This is a popular event, first come, first served so either call ahead to reserve a spot or arrive early. The Glass Shamrock or Flower Open Houses will take place during the weekends of March 1-3 and March 8-10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all dates.
The custom glass items can be picked up a few days later, after the glass cools down. Experience the fun of watching and creating your very own masterpiece in hot glass. This is an exciting opportunity for all participants! Age limit is 10 years and older.
