mayor candidate Samuel Cunningham returns $2,000 contribution from Lake County Auto Sales

The campaign committee of mayor candidate Samuel Cunningham, Cunningham Campaign Committee, returned a $2,000 contribution from Lake County Auto Sales on Jan. 3, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Lake County Auto Sales has not made any other contributions to Samuel Cunningham in the past 12 months.
