Lake Bluff home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Lake Bluff rose by $86,500 while total sales increased by 7.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 41 homes sold, with a median sale price of $569,000 - a 17.9% increase over the $482,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in Lake Bluff in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Lake Bluff for 2017 was $11,235.37. In 2016, the median sales tax was $10,889.60. This marks an increase of 3.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
