The data shows that 11 men were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for property crimes, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 57-year-old man sentenced in 2018.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Steven M. Gee. He was convicted of a property crime in 2014 when he was 23 years old. He is now 28.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
