City of Highland Park issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
The Highland Park Bike Walk Advisory Group (BWAG) and Trek Highland Park are co-hosting the annual Family Biking Festival at Trek Bicycle Store of Highland Park, 1925 N Skokie Hwy on Sunday, September 22 from 1 PM – 3 PM. This year's festival features bike safety demonstrations, helmet checks, a safety course hosted by the City of Highland Park Police Department, and a ride on Highland Park’s family-friendly bikeway.
Other fun-filled activities will include:
- Working Bikes - an organization passionate about finding new homes for old bikes (bring your old bikes to donate).
- Aidan’s Incredible Bike Creations - Aidan will be showcasing a variety of amazing bike creations that he has built.
