ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 62: Yingling Helps Local Residents Cut Utility Bill Costs

62

Illinois State House District 62 issued the following announcement on Sept. 19

Continuing his efforts to help local residents keep more of what they earn, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, hosted a Utility Bill Clinic with the Citizens Utility Board (CUB). At the event, residents brought in their utility bills received money-saving tips by experts who identified hidden fees and unnecessary charges that could be eliminated to cut down their future bills.

Yingling is a fierce advocate for consumers and local taxpayers, championing legislation to crack down on utility companies who trick consumers into buying unnecessary services.

“With all the expenses that middle-class families face, they cannot afford unnecessary fees in their utility bills,” Yingling said. “In Springfield and here at home, I fight to make sure that families receive much-needed relief, whether that be on their utility bills, taxes or other expenses. I want to thank the Citizens Utility Board for helping me provide this resource to families in my community.”
