Lake Forest Community High School recently organized a State Clap-Out event to honor the boys' golf team. The celebration, led by the Lake Forest Band, saw students, staff, and fans parading through the school halls to support the team as they prepared for their competition in Bloomington. The school community extended their best wishes and displayed Scout pride.

According to Lake Forest Community High School (LFHS), student-athletes trying out for the boys' golf team must have an athletic participation form, concussion form, emergency form, and a current physical on file. Tryouts adhere to United States Golf Association (USGA) rules, with varsity players competing from back tees and junior varsity/freshman-sophomore players from white tees. Proper golf attire is mandatory, and there are strict conduct expectations prohibiting swearing, club-throwing, cheating, or cell phone use during play.

LFHS athletics strives to promote participation, personal growth, and excellence by balancing academic and athletic development for student-athletes. The program aims to build confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while fostering broad involvement in school spirit and community unity. It emphasizes the rewards of effort, discipline, practice, development of physical skills for future opportunities, and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
