As the Fitness Operations Supervisor I will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all facets of the fitness center operations are functioning at a level that exceeds our member's needs expectations
  • Provide a fitness environment that is appealing to and supportive of all populations in our community
  • Develop, implement and facilitate a personal training program that is unmatched by any other fitness operation
I am very excited about working with the talented team members of FitNation Gurnee and Gurnee Park District. I look forward to applying my experiences and knowledge to take FitNation to the next level of greatness.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management – Fitness and Wellness. I also have a Masters in Exercise Science, as well as a variety of fitness and personal training certifications. Fitness and martial arts have always been a passion. Since 1978, I have trained in martial arts and currently hold a 7th degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo Karate. In the 1980s and 1990s, I competed as an amateur kickboxer. Today, I enjoy teaching others as a self-defense coach and adjunct Kinesiology professor at Harper College.

Health and wellness is truly a lifestyle for me. My grandsons continued to be my greatest inspiration. I want to be around for them as long as possible. My wife and I enjoy travel, hiking, biking, reading and walking with our rescue dogs; Husky/Shepherd Mix, Koda, and German Shepherd, Goldie.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work for the quality organization that is Gurnee Park District. I look forward to meeting our members, collaborating with my teammates and positively impacting lives throughout the Gurnee community.
