City of Highwood issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.
Great news!!
Highwood was awarded a $400,000 State of Illinois "OSLAD" grant for the renovation of Everts Park. The City will be matching these funds to fully upgrade the Park, Including new playground equipment, a splash pad, band shell, new landscaping, and other amenities.
Thank yous to everyone that participated in the process.
We will get started in late summer 2020, shooting to complete the project by July 2021.
