Village of Grayslake Board of Trustees met Feb. 18.

Roll Call:

Public Comment – Agenda Items: The Board will accept public comment on items included on the meeting agenda

1. Approval: Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 4, 2020

The Board will consider approval of minutes for the February 4, 2020 regular Board meeting.

2. Approval: Treasurer’s Reports/Payment of Bills: February 18, 2020

The Board will consider approval of the regular treasurer’s report detailing revenues and expenses for the reporting period ending February 18, 2020.

3. Grayslake Sustainable Business Recognition

The Board will recognize Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate as a Grayslake sustainable business. Businesses can receive this designation by implementing various sustainability practices.

4. Presentation: American Public Works Association (APWA) Award

The Board will be presented with an award for environmental clean-up and amenity design for Gelatin Park from the American Public Works Association Chicago Metro Chapter Lake Branch.

5. Acceptance of Bids: Operating Contracts

The Board will consider accepting the operating contract bids for HVAC maintenance, aquatic center chemical supply and delivery, emergency watermain repairs, curb and sidewalk, street sweeping, landscaping, street light maintenance, tree maintenance and fleet maintenance for the upcoming fiscal year. Costs for these contracts will be included in next fiscal year’s budget.

6. Acceptance of Bid: 2020 Road Resurfacing Program

The Board will consider accepting the low bid and awarding the 2020 Road Resurfacing Program to Peter Baker & Son Company in an amount not to exceed $1,268,585 upon final approval of the bid documents by the Village’s consulting engineer. Costs for this contract will be included in next fiscal year’s budget.
