Deerfield Park District issued the following announcement on Mar 26.
As springtime brings warmer weather and the urge to get outside increases, we realize that people will want to use amenities that are closed within the parks. The park district staff are practicing social distancing and do not have the resources or equipment to fence or barricade every park amenity.
We expect compliance with the Governor’s Emergency Order prohibiting social gatherings of 10 people or more and not utilizing playgrounds and other amenities that are located within the parks.
We will work with local enforcement agencies to help ensure that the Governor’s Emergency Order is followed. We recommend you check our Deerfield Park District Facebook, Sachs Recreation Center Facebook, Patty Turner Center Facebook and Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center Facebook for activities to help keep you active and having fun without endangering yourself or others.
