Antioch Community Consolidated School District #34 Board Policy Committee met Feb. 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

A Board Policy Committee Meeting of Antioch School District 34 was held at the Administrative Services Center, 964 Spafford Street, Antioch, Illinois, in said District. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Members Baronello and Penn.

OTHERS PRESENT: Ellen Correll, John Correll, and Kathy Hogan.

REVIEW OF PRESS MEMO 102

DEVELOPMENT OF BOARD POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS

The following was discussed:

 Policy 2:200, Types of School Board Meetings – add verbiage regarding the full board packet being available on the website to the community

 Policy 4:150, Facility Management and Building Programs – Make sure facility changes are presented to the Board prior to changes are made

 Policy 4:190, Targeted School Violence Prevention Program – How does this policy relate to student/teacher daily interactions

 Policy 5:20, Workplace Harassment Prohibited – Change the Complaint Managers

 Policy 5:30, Hiring Process and Criteria – Make sure each position has an up-to-date job description

 Policy 5:100, Staff Development Program – Provide details of staff development to the board

 Policy 5:330, Sick Days, Vacation, Holidays, and Leaves – Should Personal leave be requested three or five days before the actual requested date

 Policy 7:190, Student Behavior – Incorporate verbiage from policy 7:190

 Policy 7:270, Administering Medicines to Students – What medications do we stock
