As of June 15, there have been 1,587 Lake County residents in their twenties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 9,502 residents in their twenties in the county who had been tested, meaning that 16 percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through June 15, there have been 9,109 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 375 deaths from the coronavirus in Lake County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
