Analysis: Mundelein pays $2.81 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Mundelein Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.6 percent of the $1,950,683 the Mundelein Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.81 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Mundelein contributed $1,436,044 to the fund, which saw a $473,725 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $509,762, or 26.1 percent, in 2018. Another $4,877 came from other unspecified sources.
