Analysis: Lindenhurst pays $3.32 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lindenhurst Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.9 percent of the $540,955 the Lindenhurst Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.32 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lindenhurst contributed $415,939 to the fund, which saw a $116,950 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $125,016, or 23.1 percent, in 2018.
