Analysis: Lake Bluff pays $5.03 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lake Bluff Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.8 percent of the $800,298 the Lake Bluff Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.03 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Bluff contributed $662,293 to the fund, which saw a $15,020 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $131,595, or 16.4 percent, in 2018. Another $6,410 came from other unspecified sources.
