Analysis: Deerfield pays $2.63 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Deerfield Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.5 percent of the $1,518,281 the Deerfield Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.63 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Deerfield contributed $1,100,000 to the fund, which saw a $28,119 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $418,230, or 27.5 percent, in 2018. Another $51 came from other unspecified sources.
