ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 64: Rep. Weber to Host Free Prescription Disposal Event with Crystal Lake PD September 2

63 5

Illinois State House District 64 issued the following announcement on Aug. 21

State Representative Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa) is partnering with the Crystal Lake Police Department to host a free prescription drug drop off event on Wednesday, September 2. This event to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Crystal Lake Police Department located at 100 W Woodstock St in Crystal Lake.

“Like other events, many regularly scheduled prescription drug disposal events were canceled as a result of coronavirus, but that hasn’t made it any less important to safely dispose of expired prescriptions,” said Weber. “To provide a safe and easy environment, our event will be set up as a drive-thru to allow residents to remain in their vehicles during the collection process.”

As Weber indicated, the event is outside and allows participants to remain in your vehicle during the collection of unwanted, unused or expired medications. Drivers should follow the marked lanes when entering and exiting the parking lot.
