Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is adapting to the times by opening Flavortown Kitchen, a national chain of delivery-only restaurants. He has nearby locations in Wheeling, Orland Park and Lombard.
The move comes as restrictions on indoor dining are being relaxed.
The famous chef is changing with the times and instead of making customers go to their favorite restaurant he will bring the food to their homes. Working with Virtual Dining Concepts, Fieri will be delivering chicken parmesan with pepperoni and Cajun chicken Alfredo dishes across the nation.
Fieri’s gain appears to have come at the loss of others.
Last year Yelp reported over 3,000 small businesses in Illinois, particularly restaurants, went out of business due to COVID-19 regulations.
