Deerfield Park District issued the following announcement on Apr 15.
We are happy to team up with Go Green Deerfield and the Friends of the Chicago River for Chicago River Day to clean up and beautify land and water at Briarwood Park on May 8.
Chicago River Day
May 8, 9am to noon
Join Go Green Deerfield, the Deerfield Park District, Trinity UCC and Friends of the Chicago River for Chicago River Day. This year with 2 locations!
Register for the Briarwood Park on River Road site here or the Trinity UCC on North Ave site here.
Both are the last remaining flatwoods in Deerfield and are critical habitats.
Volunteer to improve the health and beauty of the river system by cleaning up litter, planting monarch friendly flowers, and native shrubs and trees.
Individual registration is required. Social distancing will be observed and masks required.
